"Nothing more rapidly inclines a person to go into a monastery than reading a book on etiquette. There are so many trivial ways in which it is possible to commit some social sin."

Busker & Me a circus dog's tale

starring Jim Jackson and his very mischievous puppet dog "Busker"

WHEN:   Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.

WHERE:   Custer County School Multi-Purpose Room

 Jim Jackson & Busker

Welcome world class clown Jim Jackson as he brings to life the adventures of “Busker the circus dog” using puppetry, juggling, magic and many hilarious stunts. Many years ago Jim traveled with the famous Hoxie Bros. Circus as a clown and juggler. His constant companion was a Jack Russell Terrier who was known by all “as a pretty good dog, but not a great dog”. “Busker” wasa delightful troublemaker and his many adventures will treat audiences of all ages to belly laughs galore.Come and join the circus in this marvelous tale of a hapless clown and the small dog that somersaulted his way to fame and fortune. Don’t be surprisedby the flying dog bone, the roaring lion in thetrash can and the pesky, plotting chimpanzee throwing banana peels on the floor: they are all part of the show!
Jim Jackson has been a professional clown and actor for over thirty years and has performed throughout the world in circus and theater. A long time resident of Manitou Springs, Colorado, he and his wife, Birgitta De Pree, co-founded the Manitou Art Theater in 2001. Jim now has another terrier named “Tati” - who is even more badly behaved than “Busker”.
