WELCOME TO THE WEST CUSTER COUNTY LIBRARY!

So what is a library?

The common answer is probably "a place to get books," but the real answer reveals so much more than that.

What do you have besides books?

We also have DVDs, audio books, newspapers, historical pictures and information, microfilm and viewers, internet access (our computers or yours through wifi) and seeds (yes, seeds...as in for your garden or home).

Did you know you have access through our library to a number of helpful online tools?  Research an upcoming purchase through our Consumer Reports subscription.  Ask just about any question through the link on our homepage: Ask Colorado.  Take a look at old area newspapers through our Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection link on the homepage.  Study for grade school, middle school, high school, GED or any number of careers through our Learning Express subscription (also available - you guessed it - on our website home page).  Need homework help?  The link Homework Resources on our homepage connects you to all sorts of options.

Could you use some one-on-one computer training?

We'll be offering it starting this fall.  Let us know if you're interested in more information.

Need a place to gather or have a meeting?

We have a lovely Community Room with a kitchen and a number of helpful meeting tools available, all for a small fee.

Our staff is SO helpful.

If you've been here, you know what I mean.  We're here to serve, and we love helping you find what you're looking for.  This is your library, and we want you to feel at home here.

Summer Greenwood is the assistant director, resource guru and head of the Local History Center.

Ted Ballard is our tech wizard and resident weatherman (see the link to his Weather Websites in left menu).

Norma Jandro is our youth services librarian, webmistress and radio maven (listen to KWMV?).

Jacque Keller
is incredibly helpful at the front desk and can answer your questions with a wave of her wand (she really has one).  She assists in our Local History Center, too.

What is YOUR library?

It's a place of lifelong learning, open information and enjoyment.  We hope you'll stop by and see us soon.

Keep up to date with what's going on at your library by following us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/westcusterlibrary.
